#045 GAD BA6: Briefing.

With BA5 finished, we now move on to BA6 (the last project of the year). Our task is based around specialism, where we put together our own brief that utilizes using the skills we have learnt so far on this course. We had to write up a learning agreement outlining what, why and how we were going to achieve our goal, then send it off for approval to one of our tutors.

Initially I struggled to think of something that I wanted to do, which is always the way when you are given such an open brief. I began thinking of doing something fairly simple, then focusing on texturing to improve my skill set. After some thought I played with the idea of modelling something that we see in every day life, an environment that we interactive with on a daily basis, a kitchen.

Modelling such a environment would be simple, texturing it to a realistic level would be the challenge. Not having to worry about a poly budget, as show pieces/cinematic rarely do would be an advantage, as I generally model to a high level of detail.
