To begin with i rendered my model in the Orthographic view to see the comparison between my 3D and 2D model, which surprisingly, was pretty similar. The render views are shown below:

Next up, I played around with the render setting within Maya, adding a floor with the background texture to make it seamless, added in a 4 point lighting system as well as tailored the camera to give me the exact shot I wanted. See below:

To show a complete 360 view of my model I animated a camera to do a full 360 degree turn, then did a batch render over 400 frames to provide me with the frames for the video. I then went into a movie maker software and turned the single frames into a movie, as shown below.
